The Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department will offer the final “Family Movie Night at Joyner Park” of the season on Saturday, August 12, at 8:30 p.m. Joyner Park is located at 701 Harris Road.
Sponsored by Gladwell Orthodontics, Mosquito Joe of Eastern Wake, Allstate Insurance Agent: Thomas G. Walters, Primrose School of Heritage Wake Forest, Vision Martial Arts-Wake Forest, Wells Family Dentistry, Rainbow Kids Pediatrics, Kerr Family YMCA and New Direction Family Law, the free, monthly outdoor movie series features a variety of family-friendly film favorites and genres, all projected on an inflatable movie screen in the park’s amphitheater. The event also includes on-site food vendors selling snacks and refreshments.
Each Family Movie Night at Joyner Park is free and open to the public. Anyone planning to attend is urged to arrive early as viewing space may be limited. Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket and/or chairs but are reminded that alcohol, smoking, and unleashed pets are prohibited.
Due to the terms and conditions outlined in its agreement with the Motion Picture Licensing Corporation, the PRCR department is not permitted to announce the title of each month’s film to the general public. However, we may publicize movie titles through our Special Events Hotline and The Week Ahead which is part of the town's email subscription service. To obtain the title of each month's featured film, sign up for The Week Ahead, wakeforestnc.gov/enews.aspx or call 919-556-7063.
In the event of rain, Family Movie Night will be moved inside Flaherty Park Community Center, 1226 N. White St. Updates will be provided on the town’s website and Facebook page and by calling the Wake Forest Weather Line at 919-435-9569. Smart phone users who have downloaded the Town of Wake Forest app will receive a push notification informing them of any schedule changes.
