In this introductory Yin class, Lisa will introduce you to the practice of Yin Yoga (long held floor poses) and Mindfulness Meditation (learning how to stay in the present moment). Yin Yoga offers a balance to a stressful, busy life by providing an opportunity to calm your nervous system through stillness in the poses and quietness of mind. You will leave the class feeling as relaxed as if you just had a massage. This class is great for people who want to learn more about Yin Yoga than can be offered in a regular class, are interested in an introduction to meditation, or who want to reconnect with their yoga or meditation practice.
Lisa received her certification to teach Yin Yoga in 2010 and is a Yin Yoga Registered Teacher (YYRT) with the Yin Yoga Institute. She has studied with Master Yin teachers Paul Grilley and Sarah Powers and currently has over 70 hours of Yin specific training.
