Attention all Pop Punk and Garage Rockers! Join local pop punk/alternative band Love Like Ruby as they perform original songs from their debut album “Red Notebook,” accompanied by The Dead Bedrooms.
Love Like Ruby is a four-person band based out of Raleigh, NC. The band consists of front-man Joey Hall, guitarist Alan Marines, bassist Nathan Dunn, and drummer Michael Spear. They offer a blend of modern punk rock with some nineties alternative tracks that aren’t offered by many bands anymore. With a diverse range of original songs, there's bound to be at least one song for everyone to like.
Kicking off the show are Hectic January, an experimental punk unit from the 919. Their style puts a twist on melodic indie pop by incorporating the spastic atmosphere of hardcore punk.
Following Hectic January are The Dead Bedrooms, local band and NC State students, that are influenced heavily by west coast surf rock with some stellar EPs out on their soundcloud and bandcamp. From jamming in the living room to playing shows all around the triangle area, these guys just love playing music and sharing their sound with good ears.
If you’re still rocking your favorite thrift store flannel and choker or if you just feel like reliving your middle school emo phase, come on out and we’re sure you’ll have a great time. If you don’t want to come for the music you can at least come and enjoy watching a bunch of college students jump around loudly on a stage and make fools of themselves.
Show starts at 8pm, tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door.
