The Poe Center for Health Education and the North Carolina Medical Society Alliance will host a luncheon conference in Raleigh on September 14 and in Greensboro on September 15 to examine the opioid crisis and explore collaborative solutions.
Keynote: The luncheon conferences will feature former LA Times reporter and national speaker, Sam Quinones, author of the acclaimed book, Dreamland: the True Tale of America’s Opiate Epidemic.
Panel: A panel of local experts will discuss the impact of opioids in their communities and the opportunities for change.

Annual Meeting (September 14-only): The Poe Center will recognize incoming and outgoing Board Members and honor community members who contribute to children’s health and education in North Carolina.
