Women in Leadership — Successful Negotiations: Essential Strategies and Skills w/ Amber Banks
Do you want to improve your negotiation skills?
The first of the Women in Leadership series will be hosted by Amber Banks, VP of Lending Services at Carolina Small Business Development Fund who will lead a discussion on proven techniques to negotiate effectively for what you want. Many women fail to recognize opportunities to negotiate — about their roles, about the support they need to be successful, about the resources to get the job done, about buy-in from their peers and those they lead. This workshop illuminates the actions a woman can take to thrive in today’s competitive workplace. Become empowered to negotiate for what you need to create the conditions for your career success.
IEC’s Women in Leadership Series:
Designed to bring together women in the Triangle area – from undergrad and graduate students to entrepreneurs to corporate executives – to encourage discussion and practical learning in the areas of business innovation, technology, career progression, networking and entrepreneurship. This leadership series invites women to review and recognize when there is a gender dimension at work, and how they can out-strategize gender bias and their own habits to achieve results. It will also help women discover the courage to take new action, and have a clearer understanding of self, tools to lead and develop others, and confidence in their ability to positively impact their organizations and communities.
Seating is limited and refreshments will be served. For more information, please contact Germaine McIver-Cherry at [email protected]
