By May 2019, the second floor of Marbles Kids Museum – from the Art Loft, through IdeaWorks and all the way to Think Tank – will look a lot different. Our goal is to create a fresh, vibrant space that fosters culturally relevant Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math learning and exploration for all museum visitors, particularly the growing Hispanic, dual language learner population in Wake County – but we can’t do it without you!
Please join us at the first of several community brainstorms to develop an exhibit that allows for meaningful knowledge and enhanced inquiry skills for people of all ages and backgrounds through hands-on learning, discovery, critical thinking and problem solving. At each session, we will ask a series of questions about your past experiences at Marbles and discuss how we can best to design this space to make it culturally relevant and accessible for ALL visitors. Lend your voice to the design process to ensure we create an exhibit in which open-ended role play experiences encourage children to be bold, tackle challenges for themselves and think critically as they solve problems inside a themed, content-rich environment.
