We switched from spring into summer in no time. It’s great to be outdoors but it is even nicer when you can see lots of art in an air-conditioned building. Come on out and join the Artists at Golden Belt on Friday May 18, 6-9 pm, for Third Friday Art Walk! We will have music by Jesse DeConto, food trucks El Jefecito and Chez Moi plus a popup by the East Durham Bake Shop, pop-up artists DeCario Allen, Debra Wuliger, Melanie Young, Jan Cole Francis, Telvin Wallace, Devin Davis and Matthew White, an opening reception in Room 100 for Gabriela Rozenberg’s «Imaginary Realms of Life and Death» and our talented studio artists.
~ Jesse DeConto is a Durham musician and on Third Friday, he will share his mus...ic with us!
~ The food trucks “El Jefecito” and their “best tacos in NC…” as well as “Chez Moi” featuring “Cakewiches with The Parlour icecream” will provide culinary deliciousness.
Update 05-14: The East Durham Bake Shop will have a popup with baked goods! Lots of yummy food!
~ The featured pop-up artists for this month:
* DeCario Allen — Abstract paintings
* Debra Wuliger — Abstract figurative drawings and mixed media
* Melaine Young — Landscapes and figurative oil paintings, together with Jan Cole Francis – landscapes and floral acrylic paintings
* Telvin Wallace, Devin Davis and Matthew White will share one studio with figurative oil and acrylic paintings

~ In Room 100, the Durham Art Guild will host the opening reception for «Imaginary Realms of Life and Death» featuring new ceramic sculptures by DAG member artist Gabriela Rozenberg. This collection of ceramic sculptures represents the imaginary places and creatures that the artist created to find whimsical ways to cope with death...and life.
