Historic Durham Athletic Park
500 West Corporation Street, Durham, North Carolina 27701
Organized by the nonprofit friends of Duke Homestead State Historic Site (Duke Homestead Education and History Corporation), a team of vintage ballers will take on local sports media personalities, playing by vintage rules. We'll have game-inspired crafts and activities for kids, and the opportunity to step up to «home base» with Duke Homestead's Junior Interpreters. Don't forget to bring your appetite for food trucks, Bull Durham Beer Company brews, and old fashioned concessions. Hurrah!
The event will take place August 11 at 4pm. Gates will open at 3:30pm, and we'll be done when the game is over (but no later than 8pm).** Look for free weekend parking on the street and in nearby lots.
Tickets cost $5 per person, kids 4 & under are free! Get your ticket in advance online, or at the door (cash only).
Thank you to sponsors, Capitol Broadcasting Company, the Durham Bulls, and Stone Brothers & Byrd Garden Center.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the nonprofit friends of Duke Homestead, the Duke Homestead Education and History Corporation.
**This event will not be canceled due to weather unless the conditions are hazardous. In the event of a hazardous weather cancelation, tickets will be refunded. No other refunds will be issued within 7 days of the event.
