Yoga Tune-Up® is a unique blend of yoga, corrective exercise, self-massage, mindfulness, and breathing strategies. In YTU, therapeutic massage balls are used to relieve areas of chronic tension, improve mindfulness, and restore proper muscle engagement. These corrective exercises improve overall strength, flexibility and coordination no matter what style of movement discipline you practice, combined with pranayama and guided relaxation techniques to induce conscious relaxation and sedate the nervous system.
This workshop will focus on relieving tension in the lower back, shoulders, neck, hips and more, for a total body tune up, as well as working on strengthening the core to provide support.
Students can expect to leave with:
• A greater understanding of anatomy and how it relates to yoga practice and other physical activities.
• Relief from areas of chronic tension and knowledge of self-care techniques.
• Increased attention and awareness of the body’s state of being and tools to improve it.
